Haircuts.

I want to visit my favourite city on the west coast just for a haircut. It’s a place I know. It’s a city that’s queer friendly. And I’ve had a haircut twice at this same spot so I know the drill — especially when to say no to “extra” services, and what to allow or even actively seek out.

New places for hair-cuts are scary. Negative reviews sound believable by nature, and positive reviews seem hard to believe in today’s age where “cash-backs” are plenty (and people not morally upright to say no to “free” money), and service providers almost socially wrestle you into giving a good rating on the spot before letting you leave.

I just want ~2–4 inches off and that’s it. Nothing fancy.

Give me strength.

  1. I feel so much this that I’m compelled to tell you that I cut my own hair for 3 or 4 years because I couldn’t stand going at *any* barber shop. I’ve found one in here now that strangely keeps his mouth shut and goes straight to the point. Magical experience, like seeing an Aurora Borealis.

    1. I don’t mind chatting with my hair stylist if I’m the one initiating it and leading it. Anything else is eugh.

I want to try cutting my hair at home but I imagine it’s a fair bit more complex for women. 🤷🏻‍♀️
