This is an anonymous blog. Perhaps, that is not quite right. And maybe I want to know what is technically correct since that may help me write better, and more often here.
This is a blog with a select few readers who do know who I am – of those, not everyone always has time to read (which is not to say it’s a problem or their fault for doing something ‘wrong’.) This is a part of a public library, not an exhibition. The “about the author” page torn off by the author on all copies of this book. But anyone who knows where to look in the library finds me, the person behind this book.
Anyway, the title of this post is interesting to me. There is identity on this blog: high-functioning autism and queerness. Yet, without them connected to me specifically as a broader human being, it seems like I write here with no motivation, no interest, no context. If you can’t see me, don’t know who I am, why do I bother? For me? Because that isn’t reason enough anymore. It hasn’t been for a while.
Again, this is perhaps why I needed to re-think what this space is. I’m not sure I made much progress but it’s good to have written down a few words.
see you soon?
